Patrol Torpedo boat 309. PT boats carried four Mark 8 torpedoes and two twin M2 .50 caliber machine guns. Used mostly at night against Japanese ships and barges PT squadrons were nicknamed the Mosquito Fleet. This PT Boat is on exhibit at the Nation Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg, Texas.
